ATI Industrial Automation’s CRT-12-5 Compliant Reciprocating Tool enables a wide range of robotic material removal operations with UR cobots. The CRT-12-5 has a robust reciprocating drive and produces a filing motion that is uniquely compatible for high precision tasks. ATI’s Compliant Reciprocating tool is an easy-to-integrate option for edge deburring and flash removal from interior corners, deep grooves, and other complex geometries.

The CRT-12-5 features built-in compliance that makes programming easier and ensures consistent contact force regardless of variation in the part or robot path. The cutting force is adjustable on the fly, allowing users to fine-tune the process to achieve their ideal finish and accommodate multiple features or parts. The Compliant Reciprocating Tool can be used with off-the-shelf industrial finishing media, which makes this tool a robust yet flexible alternative to filing by hand.

The Certified UR+ CRT Kit is compatible with E- and CB-series models and includes the Compliant reciprocating tool, adapter plate kit, air prep kit, assembly tools, file bit, and URCap software.
