The g-Series is Universal Robots’ 7th-generation robot family. In addition to a completely new and future-proof pendant and control box with new features, the robot also offers increased power through its Tool I/O, Gigabit Ethernet, and the option to add a Smart Panel as an accessory.
The new g-Series tool flange enables the vision and sensing needed for AI models to run in real-time with the robot, delivering data, power, and safety directly to the tool flange. This eliminates cabling complexity and makes it easier to connect cameras and high-bandwidth sensors, which is critical to advanced automation and physical AI deployments.

The UR18g-950 combines strength and agility, supporting larger end effectors to lift heavier payloads while remaining light enough for easy mounting on most standard gantry systems. With a 950 mm reach and speeds up to 4 m/s, it’s ideal for fast-paced pick-and-place deployments where reducing cycle times is crucial.

 

Enhanced tool flange
Integrated 1 Gb Ethernet, 24 V / 48 V power (5 A peak, 3 A continuous) and safety-rated inputs at the g-Series tool flange enable cameras, sensors, and higher-power EOATs while eliminating external cabling. M8 compatibility preserves existing ecosystem investments.

 

Environmental rating: IP65
All g-Series robots are IP65 rated for industrial production environments, with fewer components and an enclosed joint design for improved reliability.
